Our Story

Dear you,

We are thankful to those who'll take the time to read our story and hope it story resonates with you.

Maison Noten was built for people who notice, who care, who understand that certain gestures deserve a little more attention.

We’re Laura, Ruddy, and Nathan. We grew up in France, shaped by a culture where presence is expressed through detail, where bringing something is not a formality but a reflection of how you value the people you are about to see.

When we moved to Los Angeles, we didn’t come to replicate what we knew. We came to build something that carries that mindset, in a way that feels right here.

Maison Noten came from a very precise intention. We wanted to create something that helps people express gratitude with clarity.

Not something loud or excessive, but something that feels considered, appropriate, and natural in moments that matter.

Chocolate became our medium because it is universally understood, but what we are building goes beyond it. Every element is designed to support the gesture.

The balance of flavors, the texture of each piece, the weight of the box, the way it is opened, the way it sits on a table. Nothing is there by accident. Everything exists to make that moment feel complete.

At the same time, we built our store on Pico with the same level of intention. It was created from scratch, guided by our vision from the beginning.

We wanted a space that reflects what Maison Noten stands for without needing explanation. A place that feels precise, warm, and grounded. A place where what we believe in is visible, not through words, but through how everything is made and arranged.

Each of us brings something essential to this.
Laura carries the craft, with a deep respect for ingredients and technique.

Ruddy shapes how things are seen and experienced, with an attention to proportion and detail that defines the whole.
Nathan holds the intention, making sure that every decision aligns with what Maison Noten is meant to represent.

What matters to us is not only what we create, but how it is used.
We think about the moment before you arrive somewhere, when you choose what to bring. We think about the table it will land on, the people around it, the reason they are gathered. We think about what it means to offer something that feels right in that context.

Our hope is that Maison Noten becomes part of those moments. That it finds its place in your celebrations, in expressions of care, in gestures that don’t need explanation. That it allows you to show appreciation in a way that feels natural, thoughtful, and complete.

May you always enjoy our chocolates for good news in great health with people you love. From our tables to yours, santé!

Laura, Ruddy & Nathan

Grateful for you,

Laura, Ruddy & Nathan
